you came without warning
i didn't expect it to be like this
in a place where time goes by
just in a bliss of wind
here you come in white
and with that bright smile

i've never hated and wanted
anything in my life
as much as i had for you
it was as hard to grip tight
as it was as difficult to let go

you saw an opening
and my fault to let you see it
you took your chance
and it was my choice to let you in

i know it was a mistake
but i surrendered to what i felt
the feelings were there
and you sowed very eagerly

i let you take me
even when i know it was wrong
sometimes all i needed was company
for all the moments i felt alone

it was just a chance
for someone to not notice
that the things that they are letting go
somebody is willing to catch them fall

patiently picking up every little piece
and filling up the space that was once empty.

Random Thoughts

It's been a while since I've written any ideas here in this blog.
Not that I didn't want to...
It has always been the time where we become pre-occupied with the things around us and we forget that we need to have an output of the things that are happening around us.
Yes, life is a bit of a challenge for us but we need it. Somehow, we are contemplating too much on how we should live.
It is difficult but we don't have a choice. Rushing in just gives us the chance to make mistakes.
Mistakes happen for a reason.
I don't even know how to explain why we do it, but we tend to always do.
Why do it when you already know that from the very beginning, it is and will always be a mistake.
It's not in the matter of perspective, but an error will always be an error.
It might give us the chance to learn, however the choice is always in the palm of our own hands.
Yes. Our own hands. They say that there is no running away from fate.
Fate and Destiny. They are both much in the same page.

Heart and Mind. Can they both work together?
Decisions, decisions, decisions.
Life is what we make it.
You Only Live Once.
Fullfill it.

Infidelity

According to Wikipedia, Infidelity (colloquially known as cheating, adultery, or having an affair) most commonly refers to a breach of an expectation of sexual and or emotional exclusivity expressed or implied in an intimate relationship
Somehow, for someone who doesn't do formalities, it is widely known as cheating.

It is just sad that in a relationship, it comes to a point that one is challenged in letting go of that grasp in the faithfulness pole. Many are those who overcome it, understand it and unfortunately, those who does not survive the test.

Let us try to understand and see why and how infidelity happens. This may pertain to any given gender in a relationship though.

Factor A : Distance. There are a lot of sayings about long distance relationships. One famous line is: Distance makes the heart go fonder. But let us not forget: When the cat is away, the mouse will play. Yes, we can laugh about it simply because it is true. We are only human beings after all. The lack of the presence of our loved one on our side denotes some kind of a go-sign for some people to do the things that they cannot do when their partner is near.

Factor B : Boredom. You do everything together, do the same things together, meet the same people together. Somehow, it gets down to your nerves and your mind is aching for more. However, some people interprets this kind of feeling as they feel the need of another person to fill out on what was lacking.

Factor C : Unhappiness. Staying in a relationship even though you feel like there is nothing there anymore but a blank space. Couples tend to grow apart from various reasons, however, they are afraid in letting go of their partners.

Factor D : Unfulfilled. There are just some people who are not completely happy with being monogamous. It depends on how one person was brought up and the things that they were exposed to while growing up.

Factor E : Technology. With how gadgets and the internet seems to be swarming in every corners of the tinsel town, everybody has an access to communication. This gives way to connecting with the past and people who are included in your might have been.

Factor F : Itchiness. Hah! This one is actually something that I made up. Actually, the only point that I am trying to make is that when one is attached already, don't bother asking for their email, number or facebook account.

I know that there are still a lot of factors which causes infidelity. We are at an era where people are smarter, cunnier ( am I right?) and sneakier so we have to learn how to out do them. I have read that we are like angels built in two's. Unfortunately, we were separated and we are given this life to find our partners. Remember, built in two's and not three's.  No other attachments included. Let's not make this world much worse than what it is now.

Remember, Karma is just around the corner... so better be careful!

Small Things Matter

There are times that in a relationship, you get a little too comfortable with each other that you tend to neglect things that matter. In some ways, more or less, it's true. How we stand in a relationship is exceptionally relevant in making it actually work.

I'm not sure with how men think, but for women, I know that even the smallest act matters.
The feeling of making you feel important by your partner is by far the happiest feeling in the world and in contrast to that, the slightest feeling of being neglected crushes almost everything into pieces.

The funny thing is, most men are clueless about this. Instead of actually grasping the fact that they've hurt somebody, they tend to forcefully push their pointless argument that they did nothing wrong. Thus, making their partners feel more like an idiot by having to explain bit by bit on why they were acting like such a crybaby.

From what I've studied before, NEGLIGENCE  is a failure to exercise the care that a reasonably prudent person would exercise in like circumstances. It is also stated that it involves harm caused by carelessness.
Ha! So being so careless is the root of negligence. Careless because you are too settled in your relationship that you think that nothing could ever go wrong. Not even by intentional or unintentional forgetting to do the small things that you don't think matters. The thing is, they do. They do matter big time that not even the word "sorry" can make up for it.

From wikipedia, Through civil litigation, if an injured person proves that another person acted negligently to cause his injury, he can recover damages to compensate for his harm.
Compensate huh? Sometimes, it's just funny how some people act clueless about things like this. Not even exerting efforts to COMPENSATE for the damage that they did. They just let time pass, and hopefully they get to be forgiven.

STFU! An excerpt from the movie Monster In Law:

I just want a sweet guy, you know a guy who's strong but still opens the door once in a while. Who notices things and you know, maybe makes a difference.

Unfortunately, these kind of guys either exists only in movies or in reality, an endangered specie or simply extinct.

Living together: Friends to Enemies?

Yeah, I know. This is another blog with a personal vendetta spread out all over the page.
I can't help it. I'm a girl and I needed an outlet. Thankfully and hopefully, the people involved may never get to read about this blog.

Anyway, here it goes.

At one point in your friendship, you and your friends may have talked about the wish of living together in one roof. You may have thought that it would be fun to go home together everyday after work. Plan, cook and eat your meals at the same time. Share clothes and gossip all night long and of course, the feeling of a sleepover everyday is simply exciting.

It may be a good idea at first, but hey, girls will always be girls.
This is my 8th month in this...hmmm..how exactly should I call it without being too harsh...dreadful? hell-like? prison? ...can't think right, so I'll just call it : M E  D X building. I have seen and experienced things here that I am willing to have a voluntary selective amnesia just to forget about them. People smiling in front of you and just after a second of turning your back at them, they have already thrown daggers at your behind. If your are not careful, you might fall flat on your face without even knowing why and how. I came here looking for an additional experience for my career and I had hoped that along with it, gain some new friends.

Actually, this is not the first time that I have lived with my friends or with other people. And I got along with them just fine. No issues and problems. I think it's because I'm a very patient person. I think that being like this is my worst attitude. I endure things too much because I don't like confrontations and I really stay away from arguments as much as possible. My trust is too easy too gain and so is my hand of friendship. I guess, it's true that if you give too much, time will come that people will misinterpret it or abuse it.

When people live together, they learn a lot of things about each other. I think that it's fun because you get to learn more about the people that you work with everyday. But I was wrong, I didn't include in my mind that together with the good stuff that you learn, dirt is also available for unintentional sharing and not to mention the added skeletons in their closets. Best thing is you try to ignore them but no matter how hard you try, time will always come that these little things will pile up like little legos and unfortunately, it will get too high and crash directly on your nerves.

Best friends becomes mortal enemies, relatives cursing each other and two-faced bitches joining the fight.
It's a real riot! Insecurities and gossips sells like hot pancakes to women. And I think that this is the root of all arguments in this place. Locked in with no way out. It's difficult to run away from these kind of situations. The only one that you can trust is the angel beside you everyday.

Day by day, you learn new things. It may be something useful or futile. The issue is, what do you do with the new information that you may or may have not intentionally gathered.

What, you may ask are the pro's and con's of friends and co-workers living together? It's a lot. Really, a lot. No matter how simple or complex it may be,there will always be a chance that it will turn into a complicated relationship. And don't even bother believing when they say that "at work , work will always be work, walang personalan". It's a dumb-ass lie.

Women are really funny creatures. With no way how to really properly describe them or how to explain and read their minds, they will always stay as a puzzle to others.

I am thankful that back home, I got real friends. Wonderful people that I have previously lived with in one roof and helped me build a rocking friendship bond that I will treasure for eternity.

How to survive this then? Stay neutral. Never side with anyone, don't involve yourself with any issue and the most important thing that I learned : TRUST NO ONE.

Photo A Day MAY! Challenge Accepted!

This is it! I've finally found something to do everyday that would satisfy my thirst for expressing myself!
For 7 months now, I've been locked in this same building, seeing the same things everyday. Doing this gives me an inspiration and something to look up to doing everyday.

Although I would be starting on Day 11, I'm still excited.
Hope I get some good pictures worthy enough to be shown here. I'll be posting it daily on my In st a g ram (whenever my pod doesn't go boinking with the net) and I'll also post the rest here by group.

I'll only be using my I pod but I think that it has a decent camera and as long as I shoot with the correct lighting, it'll be good to go!

So here we go, as a sample, here's my DAY 11 pic : KITCHEN.

Sayonara 2011! Marhaba 2012!

It's the end of the year again! But then, I don't really believe in endings.. except for happy endings. I think that if something has to end, then that would mean that a new beginning is starting. This is actually the time when we should pause for a couple of minutes and reflect about the things that happened in the previous year. Not every memory would exactly be a good one but let's just say that we learned a thing or two from our experience, may it be a happy one or the latter.

A couple of things I that happened last year that I want to remember and cherish:
- Meeting with my gradeschool friends. Proof that growing old does not mean growing out of friends. These people are some of the nicest peeps that I know!

Well for now, that's all that I can get.. but surely, I learned a lot of things this year. From friendships to relationships to career and life. Everything happens for a reason. I know that God will not give us something that we cannot overcome. I am thankful for the blessings and challenges that happened in the year 2011. Also, for giving me the chance to experience it all not alone but with friends and loved ones. We may have lost a lot of things this year but rather think that we have gained more than that. I hope that God will continue to bless us with His grace and provide us with a prosperous year 2012.

Happy New Year! Happy New YOU!

11 Things to Know at 25(ish)

I was browsing my Facebook when one of my highschool batchmate's post caught my eye.
11 Things to Know at 25(ish). Hey, I am 25 and even though I don't look like one, I am. And even at my age, I know that I still have a lot to learn and from articles like this? it's quite a heap of help.

So here it goes. This is a very nice article from : http://www.relevantmagazine.com/life/whole-life/features/25956-11-things-to-know-at-25ish

What you need to know to be a real adult.
When you’re 25-ish, you’re old enough to know what kind of music you love, regardless of what your last boyfriend or roommate always used to play. You know how to walk in heels, how to tie a necktie, how to give a good toast at a wedding and how to make something for dinner. You don’t have to think much about skin care, home ownership or your retirement plan. Your life can look a lot of different ways when you’re 25: single, dating, engaged, married. You are working in dream jobs, pay-the-bills jobs and downright horrible jobs. You are young enough to believe that anything is possible, and you are old enough to make that belief a reality.
1. You Have Time to Find a Job You Love
Now is the time to figure out what kind of work you love to do. What are you good at? What makes you feel alive? What do you dream about? You can go back to school now, switch directions entirely. You can work for almost nothing, or live in another country or volunteer long hours for something that moves you. There will be a time when finances and schedules make this a little trickier, so do it now. Try it, apply for it, get up and do it.
When I was 25, I was in my third job in as many years—all in the same area at a church, but the responsibilities were different each time. I was frustrated at the end of the third year because I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to do next. I didn’t feel like I’d found my place yet. I met with my boss, who was in his 50s. I told him how anxious I was about finding the one perfect job for me, and quick. He asked me how old I was, and when I told him I was 25, he told me I couldn’t complain to him about finding the right job until I was 32. In his opinion, it takes about 10 years after college to find the right fit, and anyone who finds it earlier than that is just plain lucky. So use every bit of your 10 years: try things, take classes, start over.
2. Get Out of Debt and Stay Out of Debt
Part of being a healthy, mature adult is learning to live within your means all the time, even if that means going without things you think you need, or doing work you don’t love for a while to be responsible financially. The ability to adjust your spending according to your income is a skill that will serve you your whole life.
There will be times when you have more money than you need. In those seasons, tithe as always, save like crazy, and then let yourself buy fancy shampoo or an iPad or whatever it is you really get a kick out of. When the money’s not rolling in, buy your shampoo from the grocery store and eat eggs instead of steak—a much cheaper way to get protein. If you can get the hang of living within your means all the time—always tithing, never going into debt—you’ll be ahead of the game when life surprises you with bad financial news.
I know a lot of people who have bright, passionate dreams but who can’t give their lives to those dreams because of the debt they carry. Don’t miss out on a great adventure God calls you to because you’ve been careless about debt.
3. Don’t Rush Dating and Marriage
Now is also the time to get serious about relationships. And “serious” might mean walking away from a dating relationship that’s good but not great. Some of the most life-shaping decisions you’ll make during this time will be about walking away from good-enough, in search of can’t-live-without. One of the only truly devastating mistakes you can make in this season is staying with the wrong person even though you know he or she is the wrong person. It’s not fair to that person, and it’s not fair to you.
“Who are you dating?” “Do you think he’s the one?” “Have you looked at rings?” It’s easy to be seduced by the romance-dating-marriage narrative. We confer a lot of status and respect on people who are getting married—we buy them presents and consider them as more adult and more responsible.
But there’s nothing inherently more responsible or more admirable about being married. I’m thankful to be celebrating my 10th wedding anniversary this summer, but at the same time, I have a fair amount of friends whose marriages are ending—friends whose weddings we danced at, whose wedding cake we ate, whose rings we oohed-and-aahed over but that have been taken off fingers a long time ago.
Some people view marriage as the next step to happiness or grown-up life or some kind of legitimacy, and in their mad desire to be married, they overlook significant issues in the relationship.
Ask your friends, family members and mentors what they think of the person you’re dating and your relationship. Go through premarital counseling before you are engaged, because, really, engagement is largely about wedding planning, and it’s tough to see the flaws in a relationship clearly when you’re wearing a diamond and you have a deposit on an event space.
I’m kind of a broken record on this. My younger friends will tell you I say the same things over and over when they talk to me about love, things like, “He seems great—what’s the rush?” and, “Yes, I like her—give it a year.” And they’ve heard this one a million times: “Time is on your side.” Really, it is.
4. Give Your Best to Friends and Family
While twentysomethings can sometimes spend a little too much energy on dating and marriage, they probably spend too little energy on friendships and family. That girl you just met and now text 76 times a day probably won’t be a part of your life in 10 years, but the guys you lived with in college, if you keep investing in them, will be friends for a lifetime. Lots of people move around in their 20s, but even across the distance, make an effort to invest in the friendships that are important to you. Loyalty is no small thing, especially in a season during which so many other things are shifting.
Family is a tricky thing in your 20s—to learn how to be an adult out on your own but to also maintain a healthy relationship with your parents—but those relationships are really, really worth investing in. I have a new vantage point on this now that I’m a parent. When my parents momentarily forget I’m an adult, I remind myself that someday this little boy of ours will drive a car, get a job and buy a home. I know that even then it will be hard not to scrape his hair across his forehead or tell him his eyes are looking sleepy, and I give my parents a break for still seeing me as their little girl every once in a while.
5. Get Some Counseling
Twenty-five is also a great time to get into counseling if you haven’t already, or begin round two of counseling if it’s been a while. You might have just enough space from your parents to start digging around your childhood a little bit. Unravel the knots that keep you from living a healthy, whole life, and do it now, before any more time passes.
Some people believe emotional and psychological issues should be solved through traditional spiritual means—that prayer and pastoral guidance are all that’s necessary when facing issues of mental health. I disagree. We generally trust medical doctors to help us heal from physical ailments. We can and should trust counselors and therapists to help us resolve emotional and psychological issues. Many pastors have no training in counseling, and while they care deeply about what you’re facing, sometimes the best gift they can give you is a referral to a therapist who does have the education to help you.
Faith and counseling aren’t at odds with one another. Spiritual growth and emotional health are both part of God’s desire for us. Counseling—like time with a mentor, personal scriptural study, a small group experience and outside reading—can help you grow, and can help you connect more deeply with God.
So let your pastor do his or her thing, and let the person who has an advanced degree in mental health help you with yours.

6. Seek Out a Mentor
One of the most valuable relationships you can cultivate in your 20s is a mentoring relationship with someone who’s a little older, a little wiser, someone who can be a listening ear and sounding board during a high change season. When I look back on my life from 22 to 26, some of the most significant growth occurred as a direct result of the time I spent with my mentor, Nancy.
The best way to find a mentor is to ask, and then to work with the parameters they give you. If someone does agree to meet with you, let it be on their terms. Nancy and I met on Wednesdays at 7 in the morning. I guarantee that was not my preference. But it was what worked for her life, so once a month I dragged myself out of the house in what felt to me like the dead of night. It also helps to keep it to a limited-time period. It’s a lot to ask of someone to meet once a month until the end of time. But a one-year commitment feels pretty manageable for most people, and you can both decide to sign on for another year or not, depending on the connection you’ve made.
7. Be a Part of a Church
Twenty-five is the perfect time to get involved in a church you love, no matter how different it is from the one you were a part of growing up. Be patient and prayerful, and decide that you’re going to be a person who grows, who seeks your own faith, who lives with intention. Set your alarm on Sunday mornings, no matter how late you were out on Saturday night. It will be dreadful at first, and then after a few weeks, you’ll find that you like it, that the pattern of it fills up something inside you.
8. Find a Rhythm for Spiritual Disciplines
Going out into “the real world” after high school or college affects more than just your professional life. Where once you had free time, a flexible schedule and built-in community, now you have one hour for lunch, 10 days max to “skip” work and co-workers who are all over the place in age, stage of life and religion.
In those first few years of work-life, it’s easy to get too busy, too stressed and too disconnected to keep up spiritual habits you may have built in school. Figuring out how to stay close to God and to grow that relationship through activities and disciplines that complement your new schedule is critical for life now—and those habits will serve you for years to come.
One of the best routines I adopted in my 20s was a monthly solitude day. In addition to my daily prayer time, I found I lived better if once a month I took the time to pray, read, rest and write, to ask myself about the choices I’d made in the past month and to ask for God’s guidance in the month to come. Some of the most important decisions I made in that season of life became clear as a result of that monthly commitment.
9. Volunteer
Give of your time and energy to make the world better in a way that doesn’t benefit you directly. Teach Sunday school, build houses with Habitat for Humanity, serve at a food pantry or clean up beaches on Saturdays.
It’s easy to get caught up in your own big life and big plan in your 20s—you’re building a career, building an identity, building for a future. Find some place in your life where you’re building for a purpose that’s bigger than your own life or plan.
When you’re serving on behalf of a cause you’re passionate about, you’ll also connect in a deep way with the people you’re serving with, and those connections can yield some of your most significant friendships.
When you serve as a volunteer, you can gain experience for future careers. Instead of, for example, quitting your banking job to pursue full-time ministry, volunteer to lead a small group, and see where it goes from there. Use volunteer experiences to learn about causes and fields you’re interested in, and consider using your vacation time to serve globally.
10. Feed Yourself and the People You Love
If you can master these things, you’re off to a really great start: eggs, soup, a fantastic sandwich or burger, guacamole and some killer cookies. A few hints: The secret to great eggs is really low heat, and the trick to guacamole is lime juice—loads of it. Almost every soup starts the same way: onion, garlic, carrot, celery, stock.
People used to know how to make this list and more, but for all sorts of reasons, sometime in the last 60 or so years, convenience became more important than cooking and people began resorting to fake food (ever had GU?), fast food and frozen food. I literally had to call my mom from my first apartment because I didn’t know if you baked a potato for five minutes or two hours.
The act of feeding oneself is a skill every person can benefit from, and some of the most sacred moments in life happen when we gather around the table. The time we spend around the table, sharing meals and sharing stories, is significant, transforming time.
Learn to cook. Invite new and old friends to dinner. Practice hospitality and generosity. No one cares if they have to sit on lawn furniture, bring their own forks or drink out of a Mayor McCheese glass from 1982. What people want is to be heard and fed and nourished, physically and otherwise—to stop for just a little bit and have someone look them in the eye and listen to their stories and dreams. Make time for the table, and you’ll find it to be more than worth it every time.
11. Don’t Get Stuck
This is the thing: When you hit 28 or 30, everything begins to divide. You can see very clearly two kinds of people. On one side, people who have used their 20s to learn and grow, to find God and themselves and their dreams, people who know what works and what doesn’t, who have pushed through to become real live adults. Then there’s the other kind, who are hanging onto college, or high school even, with all their might. They’ve stayed in jobs they hate, because they’re too scared to get another one. They’ve stayed with men or women who are good but not great, because they don’t want to be lonely. They mean to find a church, they mean to develop intimate friendships, they mean to stop drinking like life is one big frat party. But they don’t do those things, so they live in an extended adolescence, no closer to adulthood than when they graduated.
Don’t be like that. Don’t get stuck. Move, travel, take a class, take a risk. There is a season for wildness and a season for settledness, and this is neither. This season is about becoming. Don’t lose yourself at happy hour, but don’t lose yourself on the corporate ladder either. Stop every once in a while and go out to coffee or climb in bed with your journal.
Ask yourself some good questions like: “Am I proud of the life I’m living? What have I tried this month? What have I learned about God this year? What parts of my childhood faith am I leaving behind, and what parts am I choosing to keep? Do the people I’m spending time with give me life, or make me feel small? Is there any brokenness in my life that’s keeping me from moving forward?”
Now is your time. Walk closely with people you love, and with people who believe God is good and life is a grand adventure. Don’t get stuck in the past, and don’t try to fast-forward yourself into a future you haven’t yet earned.
Give today all the love and intensity and courage you can, and keep traveling honestly along life’s path.

My First Buffet Experience

I believe that good times call in for a celebration. After almost a month of unending phone calls and inquiries, my Wacky was finally able to release one of his pending orders for Ford. His first one! Thank God! So, we decided to have a ball so I can greet him Chuka Hamnida! (although I'm pretty sure he won't understand it! lol!)  I wouldn't want to eat out and celebrate his first car release by dining out in places that we have already eaten for like, a thousand times before. And so, I searched the net and stumbled on Eat all you can buffets in the metro. I haven't tried this yet but am excited to do so! Finally, I picked the nearest one and the cheapest for starters like us.

I've heard about Tramway from a college friend way back when we were thinking of doing a mini reunion but never got the time to finally do it. From the other reviews, I think it was fairly judged and criticized so I guess it is worth checking out first hand. The Tramway Tea House in Banawe and The Tramway Garden Buffet in Timog are the only ones that I've heard about before. I didn't know that they had recently opened a new branch in Shaw Boulevard until I read one comment from one of the blogs that I have been reading about it. Good thing he provided a link to the main website of Tramway giving me an insight on what to expect about visiting their buffet. http://www.tramwaybuffet.com/index.html

Of course, after loading their website, I clicked on PROMOS and this is what I got!

Hurray for promos!!! LOL!
Anyway, we finally went there last Saturday, July 16, 2011 and I guess we were fairly satisfied.
It was freaking hot outside even though it was already 6 pm so we hurriedly went inside the Worldwide Corporate Center building. Good thing it was air conditioned! We were greeted with smiles and were seated immediately. After getting our order for our choice of beverages, the lady said that we can already start. Looking around the room, there were posters on tips on how to make the most out of eating in a buffet. They also specified there that they charge for leftovers per oz.

The place was big enough to accommodate all their hungry customers and their chairs are fairly positioned so it was not very crowded. We started with the main dishes. I didn't want to have left overs so I took a small amount of the things that I liked. Starting off with Fried rice, chicken, meat and mushrooms, some fried wanton and steamed fish. It was simply delish!!! I was surprised with how the wanton tasted so juicy! I finished my plate and went for my second round. I sampled the pasta and poured some white sauce in it. Again with wanton and meat. Wacky said that I was eating  Ox tongue but it was just so tasty that I didn't mind it.

The delicious wanton and meat and mushroom.

Chicken and I'm not sure what was that so I didn't try it

We went to the side dishes and desserts section after finishing our second plate. It wasn't so full when we got there especially with the California Maki. I guess people just rave about sushi huh? There were only a couple of fruits that you can choose from like pineapple, watermelon, pineapple-watermelon (seriously!) and papaya. I also tried their dimsums and had my first taste of Century egg (yep! my first! and it tasted like.......an EGG! lol!)

After going back a couple of times more we decided that it was time to go home.We paid for the buffet and 30 pesos for the extra orange juice that I ordered. Free water anyway.

Here's my pick for the buffet: Chicken, Fried Wanton, Fried rice, Meat and mushroom, Dimsum and Buchi

I guess we were appeased with our experience in dining over at Tramway. As first - timers, we were unsure on what to expect out of this. We were satisfied with how some of the main dishes tasted. Yes only some because i thought that the white sauce was a little bland for me and I had to add in some meat because it doesn't have anything in it. Also, I hoped that there were some cheese available for the pasta since I think most peeps eat theirs with some cheese. As the main dishes were always filled, I think they lack a bit of more variety for side dishes and desserts. There were not a lot of choices for fruits (I think I'd prefer SM Supermarket's Fruit and Salad station over theirs) and they could've added cakes or muffins or ice cream for more enticing desserts. But then again, for a price of 218 pesos, we get what we pay for. It was nice but wasn't great. Good enough for two starving people with a minimum budget in their pockets. I would recommend this place for small group meetings or get together because the place is good and is very accessible.

Anyway, this has been an eye - opener for me and my beau. To try out new things in the metro. I guess with me leaving Manila soon, we should make the most out of our time together.  But definitely, when money and time permits, I swear I'll make sure we visit the SPIRAL in Sofitel.

I'd like to post this top Eat All You Can Buffet list so that people can have more choices and hopefully, one after another, I can visit it too! Take note that these prices are not updated since I only got this list from : http://www.cosmo.ph/board/index.php?topic=4451.0 and it was way way way long ago.

Pending Much???

Seriously..I've been thinking a lot of blog topics that I could write here for months now...and yet, I still haven't got the urge to do them. I don't know why I never got around in finishing them.Maybe because I still feel that it's not yet complete? Right now, I have like 6 blog posts that are not yet published because of apparently, a lot of different reasons. Haha! I have this really bad MANYANA habit.
I used to have this kind of attitude especially in waking up early to go to work. And yes, USED TO!
I am proud to say that I have gotten rid of this annoying habit because of the motivation and trust that my TC Marian and other team 8 members had embodied me. I'm very thankful to them for helping me take my worst habit to trash. I just hope that I could continue it on my next job.

Anyway, going back to blogging... I'm still definitely up for it!
This month, I'll finish the lot and blog it out!
Hopefully I can master enough strength to stop procastinating! lol!

let's toast to BLOGGING!!!

Faith

I've been studying religion ever since like, forever. I wasn't even going to school yet but I do remember participating in children's bible study groups. I've learned the way we Christians are taught the life of Christ and how being good follower of God will make you count as a good person.

From all the things that I studied about religion and life, I have learned that having FAITH is the most important of all. I say that because, yes, you can be devoted, you can pray and say your novenas all through the day or you can give all the alms you can give but what exactly are you doing? I have seen people going  to church twice or thrice a week but still do curses and things that I can't imagine a real religious person would do.

I don't go to church very frequently. Maybe because I have been exposed to it too much? (Is there such thing?) I do go there once in a while, to thank the Lord for giving me such blessings that I don't deserve and ask for strenght to be able to go through life. During Sundays, my mother always asks me to attend the mass with her in our village chapel but then, I always refuse. My reason is actually not because I am too lazy to get up on a Sunday but because the preaching is not that good. I have heard a lot of priests whose words touched my heart and made me ponder on God's words from the bible. I always tell her that not because I don't go to church, it would mean that I don't belive in God.

There was one time that I was riding a pedicab with an old woman and just right after we passed the bridge, she saw her grandson with his friends coming out of the computer shop. She then immediately shouted " Pu***** bata ka! Anjan ka na naman sa p***** shop na yan! (&**)&* ka! Malilintikan ka paguwi ko P*@^#&^ ka!!!". The boy immediately hid himself away from the eyes of his grandma. The woman told the pedicab driver, "P*** bata yan, ang aga aga, yang p*** laro na naman ang inaatupag! Magsisimba pa kasi ako sa Quiapo, pag-uwi ko, hala, matatamaan sakin yan! I was so speechless that day. She was boasting that she was in fact, going to Church but then, she acted like, hmm.. I don't know, a tramp?

When I was already in college and was not already obliged to attend school mass and sunday preachings, I had less time going to Church. Yes, less time. That would mean from weeks to months without going to church but my faith in God didn't falter at all. Instead, it grew stronger. I prayed through silent whispers at random times everyday. I don't forget to be thankful for the blessings as well as the trials that I encounter because it made me learn of things that made me who I am today. I may not be a devoted Christian but what I believe is, as long as I don't use the name of the Lord in vain and have a strong faith and fear of Him, I'm good. And as long as you do too, we're all good.

Faith is the confident belief or trust in the truth or trustworthiness of a person, concept or thing.

Do you know ENSOGO PHILIPPINES?

I checked out my gmail account today. Something that I super rarely do because I only use it for application / business / work purposes. I was suprised to see an email from Ensogo Philippines and someone in the name of Emiliana Sision has sent me an invitation to join Ensogo. I don't have any idea on what it was but from what I saw in the email, it was something about deals and promos and the lot.

I clicked on the link and checked out their site.
NICE!!!

It was a perfect site for getting good deals. And if I say good, I say that it's really good. Like a complete discount haven!!! Some deals goes as low as 85% off! There were some items that are out of my league but still, it's interesting.

Like for today, their deals are as follows:

Another nice thing about this site is they have this. CHILDREN'S HOUR and of course, Customer Support.

They have a lot of payment options like:

Check out their PAST DEALS! I can't believe they had Laser Hair Removal for only 1,200 pesos valued at 6000! That's already 80% discount! Another one is the Dinner Buffet last December at Sofitel. It was normally priced at 4,800 and they released it for 1,500. Wow. Can't wait to see what's next!

Hopefully, they would come up with interesting deals in the future so that we can enjoy it too!

Face Value

Issues at the office actually makes me ponder about how people look at life.
Indeed, physical qualities and how one presents himself is an important factor because no matter how everyone says that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, simply said, life doesn't work that way. Let's say, you want to apply for a job that is professionally recognized as an office type. Normally, you would go with your best shirt, pants and shoes. The things that you know that looks good on you. You want to look your best because how the interviewer sees you at first sight can affect how the application would turn out. Yes, looking your best is important. But have we all forgotten the  most relevant thing? QUALIFICATION. Are you fit for the job? Are you capable of accomplishing the task? Are you a multitasker to take on the demands of the boss?

I never wanted to work at the ER. Working as a part of the TRIAGE team never lingered in my head...even in my dreams. Why? Because I don't think that I would be able to do the task properly. I don't have the skills to be one of them. Yes I know that there can be training, but why would I train there wherein I didn't want to be there in the first place? Another thing is that I know that I can do training, but I know my capabilities, my limit and my specialties. I never saw myself as an MT. lol. I know that if I tried to go in that department, I would be mocked, laughed at because I'm not fit for the job. My petite body is not fit to get all those bloody bodies work their way to the stretcher and anyway, I'm always mistaken as a child and they are going to wonder if I'm really a REAL nurse. Reality bites and sometimes, it pisses me off. So, anyway, like I said, one should know their capabilities before dipping themselves into an unfamiliar territory.

I remember what Patricio Soyao asked me when I first applied as an online english teacher.
"Did you see the people outside? That's how they teach. Do you think that you can do it too?"
I vaguely recall that my answer is a very shy "YEAH SURE".  In the back of my mind, I was thinking what the heck am I getting myself into? I'm not a teacher. But I guess I'm really that determined to try it. I know that my english is not perfect. Yes, I can speak because I've been studying the language since like forever. I was trained to have good grammar skills and a neutral accent (actually trained to have an american accent) when I was still working as a call center agent. So I guess my only problem now is the teaching skills. HAHA. As far as I know, whenever I conduct a review for the upcoming examinations for my brother, it usually ends in tears. I don't know. But I don't have a lot of patience and he doesn't have a long one as well. Anyway, I'm good at copying. Actually, that is my forte. Copying skills. So I thought that I'll just look at how they do it and mimick it. I guess it worked. I'm still here, teaching for the past 9 months until of course, the end of February.

So, my question is this. Would you endure being laughed - at at your back because you keep on trying to fit in to something that is let's say, not your forte? Or just pray that your pretty face can cover up the grammar lapses?

No judgement guys. God is SOOOOO good. So sturdy well ok? lol!

Adam Sandler: Just Go With It

For years, I've been watching so much of Adam Sandler in the boob tube. From The Wedding Singer to The Grown Ups. He has never failed to make me laugh and think where can I find a guy who can make you feel so special like how he does to all his partners in the movies.

His antics and humor is quite the simple yet there's a punch to it. Napakagaling humirit kumbaga. He delivers a pun so simply that it actually makes it so naturally funny. I can't wait to watch this one though. Oooh Lala!

I AM NUMBER FOUR

I AM NUMBER FOUR

I like Alex Pettyfer.
Haha. I've only watched one movie by him but I simply loved his accent.  He looks great on cam. It's that simple. I was originally waiting for his movie with Vanessa Hudgens, BEASTLY, but it was moved to be shown I think during the summer of 2011. I found this one thru a friend's page and got curious about it.

Hopefully, it's worth watching coz I'm not going to watch the Breaking Dawn part 1 until, they had released the part 2. It's the same thing that I'm doing with the last movie of Harry Potter. My Reason? I don't want to feel so bitin pag pinanood ko cia sa movie. I know, its good but, it would be better if I get to watch the ending at the same time. Right?

Alex looks so good no matter how haggard (tama ba?) he is..
LOL!

by the way, this one is originally a novel, so I'm gonna get the book before I watch it!
