I love shoes. I love looking at them. I love trying them on and I love receiving them as a gift.
I got a nice one last Monday. My madir and sister went shoe shopping and since Celine has a sale that time, they decided to buy there. They had a HALF THE PRICE ON THE SECOND PAIR sale.
My sister brought a black one for her and a cream colored sandals for me. Mine was supposed to be the half priced pair but since both has the same price and mine was punched in first, it was the one with the original price of 799.95 and the other one became 399.95.
Anyway, when they went home, we discovered that mine was really small for me. They brought a size 5 pair because both of them thought that me and my mom have the same size! So, naturally, me and my sister went back to the boutique last Wednesday to have it returned / exchanged or whatever that they can do with it. The girl stationed in the cashier said that there was no other size so I can pick a new one with either the same price or a higher one wherein I would pay for the extra if ever. Anyway, I had my eyes set on a pretty wedge shoe but unfortunately, they didn't have a size 6 for it. So I looked for another pair and found these pretty semi gladiator wedge! SO CUTE!!!
These were regularly priced at 1299.95 pesos and since they had a NEW SALE at 50 % off at almost all the shoes, it is now at 649. 95. And the good part was that they have it on my size, so after trying it on, I immediately went to the cashier to have it boxed.
This is where it now starts. The cashier actually didn't KNOW what to do with the returned puchases because of the reason that the price was like this and that and they had a different sale than what they had that day. OMG! It was freakishingly MAD! Like, she was talking on the phone with someone who was SUPPOSED to know what to do. Anyway, it took her like 10 minutes on the phone to decide what to do with my case.
NOW, this is what she said.
SINCE it was priced at 799.95 and the shoe that I will exchange it for is at 649.95, naturally, I have a change amounting to 150 right? So they said that I had to purchase something that would compensate the change. I asked if they had anything amounting to 150 and whapak!!! they said NO. So they suggested that I buy another pair, or buy a plastic slipper which is like for 200 or buy a shirt. I asked if would it be okay to just get the shoe, and they can have the 150 change? They said NO again. I really had to buy something. OMG. I still had to go to work that day so I said that I'll just come back. I left the shoes but got the receipt. ARGH. It was so frustrating. What a waste of time. While walking out of the mall, I told my sister to just come back there later with mama and buy the shoes that they first brought since everything was now on half the price, I thought that they are just going to add 250 to get it. Later that afternoon, my sister came back to buy the shoes back but she was told that she can't purchase something that was returned. ARGH. Another waste of time.
She went back with my mother sometime before dinner and they were told that they really had to buy something. The same CASHIER was there and she told them something that was different from what she told me earlier. Mama looked for something that she wanted to buy, thinking that the pair that she picked was also on sale, she showed it to the girl to purchase it. And then... tadaaaaaaaa!!! The shoe was not on sale. She had to add like more that 800 plus pesos to get it. OMG. This was like the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSISTANCE that I have ever seen! My madir was really a bungangera and since she was in a hurry because she was going to attend the Simbang Gabi, she just told them that they can do what they want to the 150 and just let her leave with my shoes.
Do you know what happened? They let her go. What AN IDIOT. That was the same thing that I was telling HER earlier that morning! If she had just managed the issue a bit smarter, it wouldn't have turned into something like this.
I was happy with the shoes, but TOTALLY NOT HAPPY with the SERVICE! I hope that they would have enough information to help customers like me. They should be ready for the things that could happen in their store.
Even though this happened? The shoes still looked good on me! HAHA!
